Boy & Girl of the Year

The Boy & Girl of the Year are local blood cancer survivors – and anyone listening to their stories immediately understands the critical nature of this campaign. Your time and efforts will help Grant and Autumn, and thousands of children and adults in their fight against blood cancers.

Grant and Autumn thank you in advance for your support. The money you raise will help find a cure!

Autumn

Autumn, age 4, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) on May 5, 2019. AML is a very aggressive form of leukemia and requires in-patient treatment and a minimum of six months in the hospital.

Autumn has already undergone four rounds of chemotherapy, and will celebrate her 5th birthday in the hospital. She was officially declared in remission in June! Autumn will still undergo one more round of aggressive chemotherapy to ensure that cancer does not return.

Grant

Grant, age 8, was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in July of 2016. After receiving six different types of high intensity chemo, doctors decided to remove Grant’s tonsils and other tissue areas to make sure the cancer was gone.

He loves football, hockey, basketball and baseball. One day Grant wants become a doctor so that he can help other kids with cancer!
